BaliGardener grew out of a simple frustration. Our founder spent 15 years as head gardener for villas and small resorts across south Bali, and kept watching the same story: a beautiful garden handed over by the landscaper, then maintained by whoever was cheapest — no plan, no plant knowledge, no schedule — until the owner paid to rebuild it two years later. We built the company to be the missing middle: a crew with real horticultural knowledge, on fixed plans, with the discipline of resort gardening applied to private villas. Today our teams maintain and build gardens from the Uluwatu cliffs to the Ubud valleys.
How We Work
Photos first. Almost every job starts with WhatsApp photos. We quote the same day, and we will tell you honestly when something is a DIY fix — our watering guide exists precisely because not every garden problem needs us.
Right plant, right place. Most Bali garden failures are biology, not neglect: sun plants in shade, mountain plants on the coast, thirsty lawns on limestone. Everything we plant is matched to the actual light, soil and wind of the actual spot — the logic runs through all our service pages.
Fixed plans, same crew. Maintenance clients get a named crew on a set day at a fixed monthly price. The crew that knows your garden is the crew that spots the fungus patch in week one instead of month two.
Nothing left behind. Every visit ends with green waste in our pickup — not burned by the wall, not piled behind the pool pump. It sounds small; it is the most common complaint owners have about previous gardeners.
The Guarantees, in Plain Words
Every plant we supply and plant carries a 30-day survival guarantee — if it fails despite the agreed watering, we replace it free, plant and labour. Project work — turf, irrigation, lighting, hardscape — is guaranteed against workmanship defects for 12 months. And maintenance plans have no lock-in: if we stop being worth the money, you stop paying it. The guarantee that matters most is the boring one — that the crew actually shows up, every week, on the day we said.
The Crew
Our gardeners are trained in-house on a curriculum most garden crews never get: pruning by species, fertiliser timing, pest and fungus identification, irrigation hardware and safe palm climbing. Climbers carry harnesses and lowering ropes, machines are serviced and sharp, and everyone works uniformed and insured. We are deliberately not the cheapest crew on the island — we are the one villa managers call after the cheapest one.

All of south and central Bali, every day from 07:00 to 17:00 — Canggu, Seminyak, Berawa, Kuta, Ubud, Sanur, Jimbaran, Uluwatu, Nusa Dua and Denpasar. Rates are public on the pricing page and identical island-wide.
